Splitwise is the household name for expense splitting, but the 2024+ free tier caps you at around three expenses per day and gates basics like itemised receipts behind Pro. EvenRound ships those features free, requires no account, and runs on EU infrastructure with no ads.

Most groups can switch in under ten minutes.
On web, open the group, click 'Export as spreadsheet', and download the CSV. Pro is required for full history; the free tier exports the last 30 days.
Open /groups/new, pick the same default currency, and add each member with the name they used in Splitwise.
Manually add any expenses where balances aren't yet zero. Settled history is just bookkeeping - focus on what's still open.
Run the new settlement plan, share the link with the group, and pin it where the Splitwise group used to live.
The short version.
Splitwise built the category. We're keeping the parts that worked (debt simplification, fairness math) and dropping the parts that didn't (the daily cap, the signup wall, the ads).
